Furniture Restoration in Helotes, TX

Helotes sits at the inner edge of the Hill Country on the FM 1604 / Bandera Road corridor, just outside Loop 1604 on San Antonio's far northwest side. It's a hybrid market: Old Town Helotes still has the small-town storefronts and the John T. Floore Country Store, but the bulk of our customers come from gated subdivisions like Iron Horse Canyon, The Bluffs of Lost Creek, and Stevens Ranch. Homes lean large, stone-faced, and Texas-traditional, and the furniture matches — oversized leather seating, distressed walnut dining tables, custom carved beds.

The two things we see most from Helotes are scale-related. Big rooms mean big pieces, and big pieces take big damage: split table aprons from settling slabs, separated leather seams on 10-foot sectionals, finish blisters on west-facing entry tables that bake in afternoon sun off limestone exteriors. The second issue is the cedar-pollen and dust load — pieces near patios pick up sap and pollen residue that bonds with finish and needs proper stripping rather than surface cleaning. Estate calls from older Helotes ranch families come in regularly.
