Hill Country Artist Community Furniture Care
Weathersby Guild proudly serves Wimberley, the charming Hill Country artist community. Known for Cypress Creek, Blue Hole, and unique galleries, Wimberley has diverse furniture needs from artist studios to vacation homes. We serve Wimberley from our San Antonio location with free pickup and delivery.
Wimberley is small, riverbound, and arts-heavy — built around Cypress Creek and the Blanco River, with the Wimberley Square's gallery row and the seasonal Market Days driving a low-key tourist economy. Customers here are predominantly second-home owners, retirees from Austin and Houston, and a small but consistent cluster of working artists. Homes lean toward stone cabins, riverbank cottages, and Hill Country contemporary, and the furniture matches: a lot of one-of-a-kind craftsman pieces, reclaimed-wood dining tables, and inherited family antiques displayed alongside collected art.
The Blanco River flood of May 2015 is the defining furniture event in Wimberley's recent history — entire riverside neighborhoods lost everything, and we still occasionally see heirloom pieces that were stored in barns or outbuildings and only recently brought in. Ongoing Cypress Creek and Blanco River flood risk means we do regular post-flood assessment for cabins and rental cottages. Outside of flooding, Wimberley's intense Hill Country sun on east- and west-facing porches accelerates UV damage on outdoor and porch-adjacent pieces.

“I cannot give a high enough review for Weathersby Guild San Antonio-Austin. Michael was amazing to work with. I had a 30 year-old Bernhardt bedroom set that was real wood and stained espresso brown. I wanted a specific Sherwin-Williams color for it to be painted. They were timely and professional. When they picked up my bed set they confirmed exactly the color that I wanted, and they had the bed ready to deliver back to me exactly on the day and time committed. They went above and beyond and ensuring that there were no seams or any imperfections. Excellent work and communication - so happy!!”

“The Weathersby Guild was assigned to us by our moving company after some of our furniture was damaged. The work they did was phenomenal. Their attention to care and detail is outstanding. Our damaged wooden pieces look brand new. They get a 10 out of 10!”
