Furniture Restoration in Bastrop, TX

Bastrop sits about 30 miles east of Austin on the Colorado River, ringed by the Lost Pines — the only stand of loblolly pine this far west. The historic downtown along Main Street and Pine Street still holds 1880s storefronts and Victorian houses, and the customer base mixes longtime families with deep ranch and farm furniture, weekenders from Austin, and newer arrivals in The Colony and Tahitian Village. The 2011 Bastrop County Complex Fire reshaped this market — a lot of rebuild homes are full of furniture that was either smoke-affected, replaced, or inherited from family who lost theirs.

Fire and smoke remediation is a Bastrop specialty for us. Even years after a major fire event, we see pieces brought in from storage where smoke saturation was never properly addressed — the odor returns the first humid summer. Colorado River flooding in the eastern reaches of town is a second steady source of work. And the Lost Pines themselves: pine-pollen and pine-resin fall onto outdoor and patio-adjacent pieces and bonds with finishes in ways that need stripping rather than wiping.
