Guadalupe River Country Furniture Care
Weathersby Guild proudly serves Kerrville, the gateway to the Texas Hill Country along the Guadalupe River. With its blend of ranching heritage, retirement communities, and outdoor lifestyle, Kerrville homeowners have unique furniture restoration needs. We serve Kerrville from our San Antonio location with free pickup and delivery.
Kerrville sits on the Guadalupe River in the deeper Hill Country, anchored by the Schreiner University campus, the Y.O. Ranch heritage, and a longstanding arts-and-music tradition (the Kerrville Folk Festival). Customers here are heavily retirement-driven — Comanche Trace, Riverhills, the Lake Ingram and Hunt corridors — plus longtime ranching families in Kerr County with deep heritage furniture. Newer arrivals come from Austin and Houston seeking quieter Hill Country living, often bringing curated furniture collections with them.
Two patterns drive the work. First, ranch-and-estate restoration: longtime Kerr County families with cedar barns and stone outbuildings full of heritage pieces that need stabilization, mold remediation, and re-gluing — three or four generations of accumulated furniture. Second, Guadalupe River flood work — the river has flooded historically several times, and the deadly 1987 flood near Comfort still defines local risk awareness. Cedar-fever season pollen damage to finishes is a quirky but real regional issue.

“I cannot give a high enough review for Weathersby Guild San Antonio-Austin. Michael was amazing to work with. I had a 30 year-old Bernhardt bedroom set that was real wood and stained espresso brown. I wanted a specific Sherwin-Williams color for it to be painted. They were timely and professional. When they picked up my bed set they confirmed exactly the color that I wanted, and they had the bed ready to deliver back to me exactly on the day and time committed. They went above and beyond and ensuring that there were no seams or any imperfections. Excellent work and communication - so happy!!”

“Weathersby Guild performed a remarkable job refinishing and restoring a frame that has become a family heirloom. It matched perfectly with the restored photograph of my great grandmother that it has held for well over 100 years. Thanks Mark and Mimi! Awesome job!”
